48v Power Wise Charger Quit - Puff of Smoke

2005 CC DS IQ

Finished 27 holes yesterday and when I plugged in the charger it hummed, I saw a small puff of smoke come from the rear of the charger and then the charger tripped the reset button on the front. Reset the button and same issue (without smoke). Charger hums but needle does not move for a few seconds then trips reset. Is this repairable or is a new charger in my future.

It sounds like the diodes burned up. Repairable for resonable cost.

Took it to the CC dealer at lunch, fixed it on the spot $15 part and $20 labor.

I didn't ask but it was a small brown looking plug in the back of the charger where the power cord comes in.

Those rectifiers are know to be the most anal part of the charger...
