Default deciding on which cart to get

here's what I have narrowed my search down to from a local dealer

'05 DS with 80 min batteries $2250

'07 precedent with new batteries, rear seat, new batteries with conversion to 6x8v (from a 4x12v) $3950

both are real clean

I do like the rear seat, but I could always install one myself on the DS

So what deal do you like the best

I'm pretty new to electric carts but that seems like a lot of money for two years newer. A rear seat should not set you back more than 400. $. Personally I like the looks of a DS better than the Precedent. Just my 2 cents.

Just checking "05 DS with 80 min batterys" I dont understand "80 min batterys"?? To answer your question the DS price sounds about right "IF" the batterys are near NEW, otherwise remember that QUALITY BATTERYS do not come cheap.
The Precedent has been battery updated ( as most are ) BUT price is really HIGH? Around my area the DS would be a little more than your post, but Precedents are running about $2995-$3200 range depending on what extras it has. You must understand that different areas have different supply and demand issues so what might be good in one area isnt in another?
Hope this gives you some help?

thanks for the input guys, but I ended up going in a different direction today and bought an 07 ezgo with pds for $2500 with new batteries and wires and came with factory club rain protector

It seemed like the better deal and the cart is in great shape and drove great

Glad you found a cart you were comfortable with that was in your price range.
NOW GET OUT THERE AND ENJOY IT.

I took it to mean the batteries were discharged and the discharge time was 80 minutes. To me, those batteries are nearing the end of their life cycle and I wouldn't count on them.
