Default Contoller Mounting

Working on a resistor to controller conversion on a 97 ds and was wondering if anybody had reccomendations (especially if you have pics) for mounting the new unit? New controller is a Logisystems 480 and the dimensions are 5-1/8" w X 5-1/4" L center to center of mounting holes. Appreciate any help I can get, thanks

all i can add is C.C. mounts the controller just about where you mentioned and the might be mounting holes there already as for relocating it i think if you think about it for a bit other than putting it on the drivers side same area?? your kind of limited just keep it away from any unnessary heat......heat can be a controller killer..................................

Thanks for the response shdwman, but the aluminum plate between the batteries and the motor in "factory" contoller carts doesn't come on restitor carts (at least not on mine or my neighbors). I think I have a solution, will ponder some more and post back when I come up with something.

Remember what Alltrax says "keep controller wiring as short as possible to motor", but I would add as Shadowman says keep away from heat so dont be too close to motor??? My 1996 Club car has controller mounted on drivers side above axle housing as stock.

Used an old speed limit sign to fashion this...hope it's not to close to the motor??? Think it will work?

I love the idea of a road sign as a mount. I'm gonna steal that idea when I upgrade my '85 DS. Should be perfect!

It is suprisingly sturdy. I put that little flare in the front to make it a little more rigid and hopefully increase airflow...redneck ramair

Hey Gman not to sidetrack the thread, but I have an old NO DUMPING sign that would probably work
