48 Volt Club Car chargers do not have timers. They are controller by the on-board computer of the golf car.... You've either got a stuck charger relay, a bad on-board computer, or batteries that won't charge up to a high enough voltage to turn off the charger. What is the condition and age of the battery pack?

depends on the year at about 2000 and newer a bad OBC won,t turn charger off it just fries the batts...........................................

It would be nice to start off by telling us what year cart you have and what year batteries --That would help---

just a bunch of guessing going on here
