Lets talk Stock Shocks Club Car
So I bought 2 Brand New pairs of front and rear shocks for my 89 club Car. When all 4 of them came in, none of them worked correctly (I think). They all came compressed and dont push out on their own! I bought the front from a different dealer than the rear. Are they supposed to be like this? I thought that if you push them in, they should push back out on their own! Please help.

Re: Lets talk Stock Shocks Club Car
Golf cart shocks are just simple action dampers, no push or pull force.

Re: Lets talk Stock Shocks Club Car
Ok, so does that mean someone put real shocks on mine? I took off a pair of blue shocks off the rear of my club car that actually work like real shocks! I can compress them and they push back out!

Re: Lets talk Stock Shocks Club Car
yeah, those that came off were made for a car, not a golf cart.

Re: Lets talk Stock Shocks Club Car
I replaced the front shocks, that went nice and easy! The rear stock shocks are no where near long enough to fit with my lift. So here is the question, do most lif kits come with bigger shocks for the rear or how does it work? My cart has the old cut the frame in the front with blocks in the rear lift!

The Club Car factory lift kit comes with Shock Stud extenders for the rear.
