Motor Problem ?
2002 CC DS, lift, tires, altrex, emp speed/torque. After about an hour of leisurely riding on hard dirt roads, I put the cart in reverse and it would barely go. I then put it in forward and it would move very slowly but with some noise and jerking. Then it quit. The motor was too hot to touch and really smelled. Did the motor just go bad or do I need to look for something else ? No indication of problems before now.

Re: Motor Problem ?
Have you checked condition of your batterys? By adding the changes ( lift, controller, motor, tires ) you may have increased the load ( DUUBLE OR MORE?? ) on your batterys to the point that they could be breaking down under the load? Do hydrometer and load test to confirm condition. I didnt see that you changed the 6 guage cables over to at least 4 gauge and with emp speed/torque etc you maybe should go with 2 guage to keep heat level down?
