Default Motor want run after working

I have a 84 Club Car with a 36 volt motor.it started running all the time with out being on . I would put it in F or R and it would go so I was told to replace the Solinod did this and still same problem found bad Micro switch in speed control and replaced it then the cart ran forward in reverse took jumper off solinod and ran real fast in reverse not so fast in forward now it does not run at all. Ithink I may have burnt the motor up but not sure so now I am just looking for direction on what to do??????

WELCOME TO BGW!!!!!!

You must have switched up the S1 and S2 leads on the F&R. Try reversing them, they are the 2 cables on the pivoting center part of the F&R.... that will switch direction

as far as power/speed goes~ there are 2 positive power supply cables coming into the bottom of the F&R. Red is 36v and green is 18v. Originally the cart used 36v in forward and 18v in reverse for safety. Some people run 36v to both posts with a suitable jumper.
