Alright! I will do that, now what can I do about the crack in the frame rail behind the front suspension? On a DS, any easier fix than alluminum welding?

We haven't sold a "NEW" DS car in over 4 years now. Nearly all of the communities around here have completely replaced them with Precedent cars. Our dealership is to maintain and perform warranty work for Club Car around our 4 county area. Of all the courses, I believe it's about 30 courses, only 1 course still has DS cars and they'll be swapping them within the next few months. Warranty work keeps me busy pretty much all day every day, and when I am caught up, all the local courses are calling me for damage related repairs. But believe me I don't miss working on DS cars in the field. I got tired of jacking them up and crawling around on the ground to diagnose problems. It's so much easier now. I've become spoiled on the easy access to everything that the Precedent allows.

I'd just weld it up... Depending on where it's at you may be able to cut out the broken section and turn the car into a "Lift" car with the Club Car lift kit that requires you to cut out a section of the frame. That's what we do to just about all of the DS cars that have broken frames. The front nose-piece is actually an item that can be ordered. It makes it much easier to repair cars with extreme front end damage.

That'll work. It's not too bad if you're a good welder. I've welded plenty.
