Default Re: motor terminals getting hot?

After looking the motor over we found that the lug and nut were fused from getting hot over and over again. Someone must of had a bad connection there before. This was providing a very poor contact for the wire. We pulled the brushes/lug and replaced it with a set from my other used motor. I checked the terminals for heat after installation and they were hardly even warm. Problem solved!
