Carryall (club car) wants to go faster! HELP
ok i have a 98 carryall 6 passenger 48v golf cart. want to get an exact setup and where i should look at for purchasing all of this. have been reading a little bit and dont know what exactly i should be looking at getting. i want the most speed and most torque i can get. the cart has a rear seat, will be lifted and bigger tires this next week, and the terrain is pretty hilly where we will be running this cart. i was looking at D&D's website around at their stuff and filled out their little chart. so ideally i was wanting someone to tell me exactly what and where i should get everything i need to complete this. ie; if i need just a motor? motor and controller and cables? i know you guys will be able to get me going!!! all helps appreciated!! thanks.

get a motor setup for more speed and torque, you,ll need a bigger controller ( more amps ) at least 600 or so all new 4 gage cables and HD F&R switch........that will get you started..................................

Re: Carryall (club car) wants to go faster! HELP
started?...so theres more to do then? any ideas on what motor to look at? ive also been testing all my batteries and such, they are all like 8.2 volts. the motor seems to has anywhere from 36-44v running to it when i hold it wide open and have someone test the voltage coming to it? it also seems to lose power going up hills but the batteriies appear to be all right so im kind of lost. anymore help would be great! thanks

Re: Carryall (club car) wants to go faster! HELP
if you have already been to the d&d website you kinda have an idea of what you will be getting
I recomend the ES-58 motor an alltrax controller 500+ amps, or a kelly controller that has a good range of voltage and high amps (because after you do these upgrades you will want to up the voltage) a 400 amp contactor (solenoid) one that can also handle the higher voltage and 2 g cables and a heavy duty F/r switch (or a reversing contactor) and if you skimp on any of these parts it will bite you in the long run so its best to fork out the cash now and be done with it My 2c |
