My 2001 club car, series cart runs fine except my MCOR clicks, every few seconds sometimes. Any help is appreciated.

Re: 2001 Club Car Series MCOR clicks
Thanks, after reading your reply I decided to remove the MCOR to see if my cart still clicks. It did , so now I know it is in the frame around the MCOR it happens when I go over any kind of bump and it felt like it was the MCOR. Thanks again for your help.

Check to see if you don't mean that the solenoid is clicking? This could be caused by a loose connection as you say it happens when you hit a bump?

I'm still looking for the click, but I think you are on the right track. It sounds like it could be a weld break. Will let you know once I can find it.

Re: 2001 Club Car Series MCOR clicks
The clicking you hear, does it happen while pedal is depressed or while holding pedal down? The MCOR linkage on CC wears very fast at point of contact at back of pedal, could this be what you are hearing? Looking down behind pedal you see a rod sticking out over pedal casting and this is where wear occurs? Often this causes the speed to drop off as it only needs a little wear at contact point, but I have never heard one make a sound?
I would also check at the two accelerator bracket bearing assemblys as they can wear enough to loosen linkage and I have found them causing a rattling sound even though the return spring is in good condition. Normally this wear is caused by lack of lubrication. |
