i have an 83 model club car i can fully charge the batteries and it still runs slow. It seems that only 1, 3, and 5 solenoids are working when you press the accelerator. it is jacked up and has big mud tires will this make a difference in speed.

bigger tires should increase speed a bit but if you don,t have 4 sd thats why its slow........at this point if your missing 2nd and 4th speed you should change out all 5 soleniods at the same time as its likely the working ones may soon take the path of the dead ones........................................

Alright thanks for the solenoid help Tom. Another question the wire going from my charging mechanism to the positive mount on my fr switch keep burning up when i try and charge it. what would cause this i have replaced the cable twice and still does it. Do you know where i can finf a wiring diagram for a 1983 club car. mine dont have individual speed control switches though.
