Default 02 ds v-glide solenoid issue

I have a 02 ds v-glide cart. I normally dont work on CC but since its the local sheriffs cart I told them i would give it a try.

The cart is inop. I sold them batteries and cables for it about 2 mths ago and they said it run perfect for about 15 minutes and just quit.

I found the solenoid to be badly rusted so i decided to change it. I dont have the same kind that was on it in stock so I was gonna put the chrome EZGO 36V solenoid on it. This is my issue.

I hooked it up correctly (i think) according to the diagrams on here. The question I have is where the small wires go. I have the one from the f-n-r switch (yellow wire) goin to pass terminal (like if located on EZGO) and the blue from harness goin to the other. I put new diode and resistor on solenoid. Turned key on and I fried the micro on the f-n-r. Replaced micro, swapped small wires and still nothing. I have 36V coming from micro on f-n-r once hooked up 2 solenoid I loose my 36V. The resistor on solenoid was hot. B4 I go replacing solenoid, resistor, diode. Can someone point me in the right direction. TIA

Did you install DIODE ( 1N4004 DIODE for stock 70-100 amp solenoid ) correctly as the color band on case must be mounted toward the battery voltage side of solenoid? Also is the pre charged resistor ( 470 OHM 10 Watt ) leads hooked across the large terminals on solenoid? ( NONE DIRECTIONAL CONNECTIONS )
On a 2002-2004 CC diagram I have the following wires
Blue lead goes from Key swich to micro on back of F&R control
Yellow lead goes from micro on F&R to solenoid small post with DIODE COLOR BAND lead.
Green wire goes from small post on other side of solenoid to micro inside V Glide unit
Hope this helps?
Most solenoids are the same as the small posts are basically universal and can be wired on either way ( EXCEPT SOME HAVE BUILT IN RESISTORS AND DIODES ) so you need to check and get a correct unit for Club Car.

after looking at the schematic on of the batteries ROADY posted (stickies) they put the green wire that goes to the f-n-r switch on the wrong battery. It was installed on the right (passenger side) middle battery positive terminal instead of the left (drvs side) middle battery positive terminal.

Can someone verify that this is correct before I proceed. I just spiked another f-n-r micro.
