Question Square rear end?

I haven't got it yet, but my father is giving me is old golf cart. It is a red Club Car with tan seats. Since he said he was going to give it to me I have been noticing other Club Cars and I noticed that the one he is giving me has a different looking rear end than most that I have seen. Most Club Cars that I have seen have a gently sloping rear and the on I'm getting kind of goes up a little and is flat in the back. It makes the rear end look sqaure. Does anyone have any comments on why it looks so different than most of the Club Cars that I have seen. Thanks!

I think it is just an older body style but can't remember the year model, ser.no. will tell you though. Have seen several of these down on the beach and personally I like them. All the ones I have seen are 36 volt but not saying they did not make them in 48 also. Hope this may help and Good Luck with your new cart!

Question Re: Square rear end?

Thanks for the info ssdane! I also like that it is different looking than most Club Cars out there. By the way, where would the ser. no. be located?

Its possible that its a Caroche Club Car ( built from 1975 to 1980 ) and serial numbers will be under drivers seat on frame rail just inside of drivers side battery bank. Another clue would be that they have ( 2 ) brake pedals and a throttle pedal.

Question Re: Square rear end?

Okay, I found out that it is a 1994 DS. Unfortunately, the batteries were made back in July of 2005 so, the're toast. Got to buy a new set before I can even move it around! Anyway, here is the square rear end I was refering to. Anyone ever seen another one like it? I haven't.

Oh wow... that's not at all what I thought you meant when you said rear end... I was thinking differential.... But yeah... I've seen quite a few of these bodies on early 90s cars. I don't think they used them long. Kinda cool looking though.
