Whats normal for a 96 Club Car
I recently bought a 96 Club Car 48v system and installed new batteries. I want to know what is considered as normal high speed for this cart. I also want to know if it is normal for this cart to have two speeds. I can take off with the gas pedal on the floor, and it drives about 13mph. If I let off the pedal after I reach high speed and then step down again, it goes slower. If I let off and step down again, it runs faster. Is this normal? If not what is the problem. Is it normal for reverse speed to be real slow like 4mph? I'm a newbie and this is my second post so be gentle. Thanks in advance.

Re: Whats normal for a 96 Club Car
All golf stock carts run in the 10-13mph range. It is no coincidence ~ it is the speed the golf course wanted
I was always amazed at how miserably slow a 48v CC can be. I have a 93 & an 02 and I feel like getting out and pushing them up big hills.... even though the 93 is 36v and 02 is 48v, I would hate to have to bet on which one would win in an uphill race. |

Re: Whats normal for a 96 Club Car
it depends on what speed control you have 1st......but they run 12 to 14 mph.....as for reverse it runs at 1/2 speed for safety..............if its a 96 you either have a V-glide ....pie shaped box in between the left front batts on frame rail or a pot box on frame rail underneath cart so find out which one you have.........................................
