New cart owner Hopefully!

I am looking at makeing my own hunting buggie. I have heard that club car and ez go are the only ones I should consider. When looking for a cart is there one thing that I want to stay away from? I know the batteries are the most imprortant thing but is there anything else? thanks

I was also wondering if you all had any suggestions on where to get a camo kit for club car as well

There are some sight sponsors that sell the camo wraps. I am partial to Club Car mainly because of the all aluminum frame. You will also want 48 volts if you are wanting a decent hunting cart. To achieve what most call a hunting cart you will need to make many upgrades as well. The possibilities are endless, the money sometimes is not.

I am trying to find a late model or atleast the latest model that I can afford. So that I can get my lift and wheels and tires. I was wondering if I should stay away from older carts or how far I should go back such as 1990's I have also seen that people convert a 32 to a 48 volt. I was wondering if that is something that I should stay away from as well.

Keep an eye out for good deals. If you can find a good deal on a 48v cart that is already lifted but is maybe otherwise ugly, go for it if you are going to put a wrap on it anyway. I had no patience so I went ahead and bought one after selling my CC gasser but some say, around here, carts are easier to find at better deals as the weather cools. Makes sense as people that use them during the summer go to sell them to upgrade for the next year.

A lot of it will come down to what you have to spend and how much time, effort, and money you want to put in after the fact. Just keep in mind what the cart is worth and what it would cost you to do your mods vs. buying something already mod'd for less than what you'd spend mod'ing a base model cart.

I passed up a great deal on a ready to go, lifted, camo'd, and even street legal, clean as a pin, late model cart a few weeks ago that I thought was a great deal at just over $5k. The street legal part was a bit overkill for my needs and the wife wouldn't have gone for the camo. So, for what it was, it was a good deal, it just wasn't right for us.
