Default Plum Quick Motor Results

I stopped by their shop yesterday while I was working in the area to check into one of their motors. What a great group of people! I ended up bringing home the "Bandit" motor...kept my stock controller and wires.

Before I installed the new motor this afternoon, I checked the speed with my handheld GPS. My fastest speed on flat ground with a little wind tossed in was 14.6 MPH. After the quick and simple motor install, I recorded 19.2 MPH. That is a 32% increase in speed for $225. You will have a hard time getting those results from any other motor vehicle for that price!

I'm really excited about it and my wife doesn't even know I bought the motor, so she will be surprised the next time she takes it for a spin. I wonder if she will even notice?

My wife noticed our PQ motor. She agrees it is now too fast for the campground. Congrats on the PQ upgrade. Their motors are really great values!

Congrats on the motor! I would think you would get a little more speed. I guess now you need the controler upgrade and wires!!!! I have a stock motor and get 19.6 but I went from speed code 2 to code 4.

They actually said the controller would not give me much more speed, but would help with the low end torque a little. I felt the wires after a few low and high speed runs and they were barely warm to the touch. Right now it does everything I want it to do...Right Now anyway.

I would at least replace 6 guage wiring with 4 guage multi stranded welding cable stock to allow for less heat build up in wiring, F&R and especially controller as controllers dont like HEAT?

Plumquick,
What speed do you think we would see on an IQ cart with the speed code set at 4 and the cart already running at 19.6mph?

Based on my results...

If you have all that and 22" tires then 25-26mph will be a norm... if you have 18" tires then 23-24mph should be your norm.
