Broken wire?
I go to bring my cart out of the barn and it ran fine. Drove it out and then it just stops. I took the seat off and noticed on the panel of the forward/reverse switch one of the blue wires connecting to it came off. I plugged the charger in and it did nothing. It was fully charged before i took it out, so maybe thats why it didnt work.
However, I'm not sure what to do. Its a blue wire, with a matching one right next to it. I didnt do anything different while riding yesterday, just carried my heavy uncle, but thats it. Any help with what this wire is called or how to fix it? thanks. |

Re: Broken wire?
Oops. Made a mistake. The small blue wire that came off was on a panel below the charger plug, which looks like something to do with the accelerator, since it move when I press the pedal.
Any help is appreciated. |

Re: Broken wire?
I assume you are talking about the blue wire that goes from the Black plastic pie shaped device (called a V-Glide) to the resistor coils located behind the center 2 batteries?

Re: Broken wire?
Yes. Theres another blue wire next to the broken one that goes from there and connects to a neg side of one of the batteries.
Whats the best way to fix this? Also, can I fix this without being shocked if the cart is wired to run without a key? |

Re: Broken wire?
Took a look at it again, worked while on flat ground, but going up/down hill the connection comes out.
When I used a flashlight to look down in there, it doesnt look like a v-glide. Its not pie shaped and its more of a square. According to my serial number, it is a 1988 DS. So, could this still be a v-glide? Or is it something else? I'm still unsure how to keep the connection from coming loose. Any help is appreciated. |
