tow mode when to use

I am getting wrong advice from my locals so I need your help. Ex: I was told to use the tow mode when charging the cart, which after reading threads I know is wrong. I hope I didn't do any damage. When is the proper time/situation to use the tow mode?

You use it when you have to tow it for one but, anytime you work on the batteries or any electronics, flip it to tow. If you spark it in run mode you can damage your OBC. You can charge it in run.

Use tow mode when pushing or towing the cart.
Put it in tow mode before any electrical work.
Not needed to put it in tow to charge but, it does no harm ...

Any time when you are towing the cart or doing any type of service work is when it should be flipped; no matter how minor; hope this helps!
