Default Converting Shunt to Series

I would like some opinions on converting a 2000 Club Car Dsplus Regen2 shunt motor to a series motor.
I know the controller, potentiometer, motor and F&R switch would be changed up. But my issue would be how the OBC would be filtered into the system.
Also just in passing, I have read many posts and the information in them has been very helpful in repairing carts that I have worked on…………thanks, Mike

Why series? I'd recommend going with the IQ system instead... You'll be able to use the same OBC and the same motor. With series you'd have to replace them both. In an IQ conversion all you'd have to replace would be the wire harness and the controller.

Interesting, , I have upgraded two regen 2 carts with 500amp controllers. One is still working. One got buried in the sand and melted the motor. The research so far that I have done is that the series motor is a much stronger motor to take the more aggressive terrain that I have to deal with

That's very true... I was simply referring to conversion costs.
