The A2 wire runs from the F&R to the Controller and then to the motor. When you install the new controller, run the A2 wire directly from the F&R to the motor. Simple fix and the original wire from the F&R should be long enough that you don't even have to buy a new one.

Are you sure this is a CC controller with the correct throttle input? 5k-0 ? Correct voltage? Don't really know 4 sure but, I think the 36v had the A2 terminal and the 48v did not? I could be wrong?

What model numbers are ( on original controller ) and what numbers are ( on replacement controller ) so forum can check if they can be interchanged rather than just guessing? Also give your Club Car model numbers from under passenger glove box on frame rail so forum is sure what model you have to start with? When asking for help always give, make, model numbers, battery voltage, any alterations like 2 speed motor or conversions from stock that way speeds up answers from forum.

I'm guessing that since it's a 99 the controller that came off of it was silver in color. It's not the original, the original would have been 225Amps without the A2. It's been upgraded at some point. The one you're planning on replacing it with appears to be the same as the factory 225A controller. It'll be fine. Just hook the white wire straight to the motor and eliminate the motor to controller white jumper wire. |

Re: club car/curtis speed controller problem / ?
OK cool... the T in the serial number tells me it's not just a regular DS golf car, but a Villager 4. It most likely would have come from the factory with a 300A controller and a 3.75HP motor. The 225A controller you're thinking about using as a replacement will work fine, just won't give you quite as much power as the 300A... It's fully compatible. Just hook the white wire to the A2 post of the motor instead of the controller.
