Default 99 Carryall VI charger problem

I'm working on my friends 99 Club Car Carryall VI 48 volt with an onboard charger. The charger is a Power Drive (Lester) model number 17935. The charger will not turn on unless I jump the relay, after some testing I have confirmed the OBC is working. The problem seems to be a small computor on the charger itself, it must have something to do with the charger being "plugged" into the cart all the time and still allowing it to move. I bypassed the small circut board and it functions just like a normal cart, the cart will not move unless the charger is disconnected from the OBC. Is there a way around this? I haven't found a replacement circut board yet, my supplier doesn't show it online and being a holiday weekend I'll have to wait until Tuesday to call them.

Are you really sure that OBC is working correctly as what you did by jumping the relay and bypassing circuit board is one of the tests of OBC condition? Did you do a reset of OBC shown in Stickies? Other test is to disconnect wire at fuse from back of charge receptical and run jumper from fuse wire end to #6 battery negative and see if charger comes on?
You have already found the only way around safety that I am aware of?

I'm sure the OBC is good, I even swapped in a new one with the same results. Since the charger is wired directly to the cart the charger needs someway to make it move with the charger still connected. If I bypass the circut board on the charger the cart acts like a normal golf cart, it will charge normally but will not move unless I pull the fuse to make it think its unplugged. The small circut board on the charger must be the problem but I'm having a problem locating one. Thanks for the input, this is the first time I've come accross this issue with a charger since its hard mounted.

You are correct in assuming it is the electronic board inside the charger, and those do fail. Chances are good your has.

Very common problem. It's the AC Interrupt Board... Part number 101841901
