If you put a new differential gasket on sounds like you are working on a EZ-GO.

Are you talking about the differential vent? It does vaugaly look like a bolt head? If oil is leaking out of it you have overfilled differentail or used wrong type of fluid? Club Car uses 22 oz of 30 weight motor oil filling to BOTTOM of fill plug hole when cart is sitting level.

Drain your differential right away and HOPE that MOTOR, BRAKES, ETC have not been damaged by oil leaking in. The fill plug is nearly in line with the bottom of the axle shaft ( round shaft going out to wheels ) only fill ( when differential is level with ground ) to bottom of opening of fill plug hole.
Through the years I have had to replace several motors and replace brake linings and rear axle seals because someone overfilled differential?
