Default First Cart

I just got a 81 36V cart its in pretty good shape. It seriously lacks the power to haul 2 people around the course. Would converting it from solenoid to controler style. I know it would be ready for 48v when i need batteries but how much more power will i get upgrading and leaving it 36v .

Thanks Brian

Default Re: First Cart

It really sounds like you have a weak battery OR are in need of a new battery pack NOW or some type of repairs? With good batterys you should be able to do 18 holes with ease most carts like yours in good condition go 2-3 times around course, even if you are overloaded and have hills and soft ground to contend with? Do a voltage and specific gravity test and refer to STICKIES under "State Of Charge Readings" to confirm condition of each battery.
