Got my converter today - could use some advice

Got the 30amp 48v to 12v converter my buddy sent me today. Man this thing is big and heavy. Not sure what it ways but it is 6" long, almost 7" wide tab to tab, and about 3.25" tall. Not sure if it's made to fit a specific cart or not but it has connectors on it already that I assume I need to remove.

It appears to me, based on the install sheet below, that I just need to wire the black wire to the neg post on battery 4 (4x12v system) but both the red and yellow wires need to go to the pos post on battery 1 with the red wire needing a 20amp in-line fuse (not included) and the yellow wire with an in-line switch. Correct? Is there anything I need to look for in a switch or will most anything I like do the trick?

Assuming all above is okay, I want to run power to my lights and a radio. I don't have the radio yet. The lights are already wired through the factory harness with a fused power feed coming off the pos post on battery 4. I should be able to run the power lead to the lights to the green wire off the converter and be good on the lights, right? Or I can run the green wire to a fuse block and go that route. Am I good so far? Then how about the radio? I should be able to run a hot wire to the radio (fused or using a fuse block) and then ground to where - the neg post on battery 4 again? Or is there a ground behind the dash (06 precedent) I could tap into? Or, for that matter, could I pick up both power and ground behind the dash and not have to run all the way back to wherever I install the converter and/or fuse block?

Also, if anyone has any great ideas as to where this monster could be installed, I'd appreciate them.

This looks like same pictured unit sold by E V Drives ( brand unknown ) probably Chinese like most? Only difference in picture I saw was wiring had NO ENDS. I would wire exactly as shown on diagram and be sure that fuse is included and that power is off when carts key is turned off. Also I install a multy fuse panel ( LIKE SHOWN ) to break circuits down ( I use a 5 fuse panel ). The key off is very important as I have seen some reducers short or something and catch fire and in one case a neighbor lost his new cart in fire? ( NOT THIS UNIT ).

Mec, thanks. It says the yellow wire is the switchable on/off. Can't I just wire my own switch in there and mount it somewhere other than the key switch? I was thinking of maybe a rocker switch that is separate from the key switch. Of course, I'm still thinking of a good place to mount this whole rig. At first blush, there really doesn't look like a good place for it under the seat. But I'd like to keep it away from weather/puddles, etc.

Is there a how-to or anyone got any tips for running wires back and forth between the dash area and the battery bay area?

You could mount your own extra switch BUT IF YOU ARE LIKE ME I forget to turn things off and could cause danger like neighbors cart and this could run your whole battery pack down over night depending on what is left on at time. I DO REMEMBER TO TURN KEY SWITCH OFF JUST LIKE MY AUTO"S as its a automatic thing after 77 years?

MEC, I hear you and agree with you. I'd put any separate switch where I would see and should remember it. I'm pretty good about such things. When I put the cart up for the night, I usually even open the seat and switch the tow/run switch to tow even though it isn't necessary. If I remember to do that, I should remember a switch that is right there in front of me. With all that said, I'm not ruling out just going with a separate battery and forgetting about the converter.
