91 DS wont run after controller burned up
I have a 1991 36v DS cart, The controller burned up, blew the transformer, It was a Curtis 275 amp controller, I got a hold of a Curtis 400 amp controller out of a Cushman Indrustal cart and installed it, now the solinoid clicks but cart will not go, The new controller has extra blade conector that I think was used because the Cushman had an onboard battery charger, any thoughts ?
Thanks, Mike |

Re: 91 DS wont run after controller burned up
Boy are you lucky to have a converted cart as 1991 CC 36 volt carts were resistor controlled originally? You must have a V glide with "small electronic resistors" on back and only 4 small wires rather than 6-6 guage wires running to resistor bank behind batterys? By chance do you have the numbers off burned up Curtis controller as maybe we can compare different controls, also need numbers off Curtis--Cushman control as well to make comparison.
