Club Car no reverse sound
Hello. First post here. Today I backed my Club Car out of the barn and the reverse buzzer came on and the Car worked fine. Backed it up a ways, put it into forward and it took off just fine. Drove about 50 feet or so and it just lost power. Tried to put it into reverse and the buzzer didn't come on. I thought I had a bad battery wire, so I changed it, but it didn't make a difference. Later on tonight, I was messing around with it and found that if I pushed the pedal down, sometimes the buzzer would come on briefly, but the car does not move. Also, I tried to plug it in to the charger, and the charger wouldn't kick on. Sorry for the long post. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Club Car no reverse sound
jeff 1st welcome you have come to the right place, what year is it ? theres a plate on lower dash about center right the 1st 2 #,s are year and is it a reagan cart? your F&R is it a rocker switch or the lever.............charger wouldn,t come back on so if you have access can you try your charger on another cart or can you borrow another charger to try on your cart this is the fastest way to eliminate and narrow down problem to either charger or cart its possible you have 2 problems with the reverse buzzer being the minor one, also if you have one and know how to use it your gonna need a voltage meter to test batteries and battery pack voltage, can,t go much further until we get some of this info than we can have at it.................................

Thank you very much for the reply and the welcome. I think it is an '05, but will get the number for sure this weekend. The F&R is a rocker switch. I'm sorry, but what is a reagan cart?

Re: Club Car no reverse sound
Alright. More info here. Tonight I replaced the connector on the battery end of the red 10 ga wire that comes from the charge plug. I flipped the tow switch to run, and pressed the gas pedal, and things seemed to work normal. I then changed out a few battery cables that looked punky, and cleaned all of the other battery terminal connections. Also, when I plugged in the charger, it kicked on. Is it possible that the connector was the main problem this time? BTW this site is awesome and I'm learning a LOT here!
