Default Need help routing wires on precedent

Installed my speakers today under the seat and got the wires routed to behind the dash where the rest of the wiring lives. Now I need to get them from there under the cubby hole area so they come up from the back. Want to mount the radio under there to the right of the steering column and run the wires to the back of it. Anyone know how to go about taking things apart in there? The part that wraps over the steering column seems to possibly be removable but I don't want to break anything. I think I can get the wires from where, to where I want them if I could get that piece out. Any thoughts?

Here are a couple of parts manuals, (not service manuals,) that might be of help for your Precedent.

Thanks scuba. I'm done. Ended up going between cowl and underbody. Turned out nice and clean and sounds good!

Looks good

Those speakers look familiar... How about some pictures of under the seat to see the clearance you have for those speakers. Did you have to cut into the battery tray as well?

I can get some pix. Can't right now where it is sitting to charge - bad angle.

In the battery tray, on either side, there is like a channel that is a little less than 3 inches wide. So I lined the center line of the speakers up with the center of those channels and that's where I made my holes. But, yes, I still had to notch out a small area of the battery tray on either side of those channels to allow the magnets enough clearance but it's not bad and I did not have to cut a complete 6" hole in my battery tray at all.

These were the shallowest 6.5" marine speakers of quality name brand I could find. And I got them fairly cheap too on the ole flea-bay. They are polk audio db651's and have a top mount depth of only 1 11/16". They sound great for their size. I wasn't expecting a lot with no subwoofer so I was pleasantly surprised when I fired the radio up for the first time.

Scuba, here is a bad cell phone pic. The speaker magnet actually has more than enough clearance behind it - but the sides needed a little room.
