Default Spindle vs AARM Lift Kit? Not sure which way to go?

I am looking to lift my '92 CC DS and wanted to know the difference in the spindle lift kit vs the AARM lift kits?

I plan on using the cart around the neighborhood and also hunting. The terrain is pretty flat here in the SC Lowcountry, but may get a few ditches to manuver. Looking to save some money, but dont want to put something on that I will regret later.

What do you guys suggest?

I found these on ebay from RockyTopCarts. Any thoughts?

LIFT KIT WHEEL AND TIRE COMBO

Thanks,

Robert

Pondering the same thing. My take, so far, is that the spindle lift is okay for show and the a-arm lift is for play. My cart is just a neighborhood and campground cruiser and a lift and wheels would be purely for show. A flat dry dirt road or maybe some sand is probably all this cart will ever see but that will be rare. If it were up to me, I'd put on some low profiles with some nice wheels and go with the street look. But my kids are bent on the lifted look. I'm looking at internet combos as well but won't be choosy on the type of lift. But if I were looking at pushing the cart a bit, offroad and such, I might lean towards the a-arm.

Thanks for the link.

So, any other suggestions or thoughts on which would be best to go with? Spindle or AARM?

I guess my question really is, Will the Spindle kit handle the light terrain I will have and will I be satisfied with the ride?

Thanks,

Robert

Most spindle lifts should be able to handle most terrain you want to ride on, especially if you look at Jake's, Though a long travel will always will ride smoother than any axle setup.

I have a jakes 6inch lift and it works great, its easy to put on and a simple front wheel alignment finishes the job.How smooth do you want it to ride when you are mud boggin,Ooops spilled that coffee again in that 12inch hole.

You answered your own question. Kids are way harder on a cart then offroading. The A Arm will handle better with little drivers.

There are people out there selling what they call an "A-Arm kit" that is basically a cross between a long travel and a spindle kit. A true long travel is expensive. I used, for lack of a better term, the crossbreed. I think it is a little more heavy duty than the spindle lift, but it does not give you independent front suspension. The A-Arm I used does replace the entire front end as opposed to the spindle kits that utilize the stock front spring and a few other parts. The only stock part used with the A-Arm I used was the shocks. In the industry lift kits are commonly referred to in three types. Spindle lift, A-Arm lift and long travel. The quality/durability is in that order as well, in my opinion.
