Michelle I have replaced the mcor and was not the problem either. For some reason when you turn the key on and put F&R in reverse there is no buzzer therefor no power until foot pedal is pressed. Something in that circuit is loose bad or corroded. Did you try to jump the F&R from center wire to forward wire and leave it for some time to see if you have the problem again? You can only go forward when you drive it but will bypass switch to determine if that is the cause.

That's different that the problem we're having. We have reverse buzzer, but no pedal response even if we hear the solenoid click. Sometimes holding the pedal down for a bit will cause the car to suddenly respond, other times it takes "pumping" the pedal. We have the problem in both directions, too. Of course the darned thing being intermittent is quite frustrating.

Michelle I have replaced the MCOR which did not solve the problem. Some one suggested jumping the wires on F&R switch. Go from center wire to forward wire. You can only drive cart forward but if in time the problem does not occur then perhaps changing the F&R will do the trick. Other idea was the diode or resistor on solenoid could be bad. Keep me posted and I will let you know what I find out.

Hi Guys,
Why are the amber light burning, no response on go pedal. No reverse or forward. Charger not kicking in. Have an Idea that OBC is damage but surely it can not prevent cart from running. Amber light stays on until forward reverse switch is turned of. Am I missing something. Help

strijdoms it looks like you've jumped on somebody else's note? You should start a new topic of your own. In any case, what your describing sounds like bad batteries (or batteries with no/little water in them). OBC can't stop cart from running if the batteries are charged (well it *can* but it doesn't make the light glow), but bad batteries sure can.

Saw the unintentional bump and realized I never came back and posted the update/fix.

While testing initially pointed to solenoid (nope), then OBC (also nope), we replaced the MCOR and all has been well since. DH cut apart the old MCOR and the contacts were well-worn/smeared. We now know much more about our car's workings. The failure was intermittent enough that testing did not point to MCOR, but replacing it finally fixed the long-running problem.
