2007 DS on order
The search is over and I put my money out on ine finally.
It has the 4-12v system, but I cant seem to find anything I want that doesnt have that. I hope it does OK for my uses. I am having an Allsports 6" A- arm lift with 22x11x10 all trail tires on alum rims, back seat, and an extended top installed. All for about what I could buy the car for and then add the extras myself. Except now, I feel confident that they will be installed correctly. I'll post a pic when I pick 'er up next week. |

Re: 2007 DS on order
By having the 12 volt batterys you should have gotten a much better deal? Remember when you get tired of the 12 volts its a simple change over to 8 volt batterys unlike the Precedent.

Re: 2007 DS on order
L-Man I have an 07 ds with 4-12 setup and get excellent service from it. Mine is set on speed-4 and gps at 19.7 mph but it is not lifted. It has original batteries and I keep them charged and check water level on regular basis, as you need to on 12-volts. Hope this helps and congrats on new purchase!

Re: 2007 DS on order
Its good to see someone else with the same cart that is happy. This cart is going to be my wife's cruiser on our property. We test drove a Precedent, and she did not like it. I wanted a DS all along, so I am quite happy too.
Cant wait to get it! I think I am going to get the dealer to set the speed a little lower so that I can get more torque. Rod |

Re: 2007 DS on order
hnsi,
Not really difficult, just expensive! You will pay over $400.00 for a precedent conversion and about $20.00 for a DS.(+batteries on each) |

Re: 2007 DS on order
I have a pair of 2007 Club Car Precedent series golf carts. No problems, except one battery seemed weak, and contrary to much advice, I replaced the one battery. I have the 4 - 12 volt system and know of a zillion Club Car Precedent series carts without trouble. I am not in the battery business, but I will keep my 12 Volt batteries while others convert. Like SPOCK said, the need of the few is less than the need of the many, if anyone understands...

Re: 2007 DS on order
Would you explain why the added cost except for a wiring kit that is suppose to be all you have to buy.....Thanks Frank
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 6 - 8v system? |

Re: 2007 DS on order
A Precedent battery compartment will not hold the 6X8V batteries so the kit comes with an entire new battery compartment, new wiring and new OBC.
