Default Vinyl Paint

I want to change the color of my seats buy don't want to put the money into new seat covers right now. Has anyone tried the paint from the Auto parts store that is for vinyl. Souds like a great idea if it holds up.

I would check with upholstery shop before trying anything? Might be much cheaper than new set of covers? If you have a old piece of cover I would try, but not on your good covers? I had local person try a UNKNOWN brand of vinyl upholstery paint and ruined a near new set of covers just because he wanted a different color? ( covers got hard as rock and cracked wide open in less than a month? )

Check with Par 5 customs for seat covers. They are very reasonably priced.

I have used this paint and the tops of the seat hold up fine but the sides where they get smashed from weight does not. If you are painting the same color it would probably be okay but if your going to color on white I promise you some white will show.

Hi Jonitza, as someone else mentioned, give Par 5 customs a call. The vinyl is quality as is the work, and you wont find better prices. I have a set of there covers on my G9. Check out this thread http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/desig...eat-cover.html
