Replacing the F&R on 92 CC DS 36v Resistor Cart...Questions?
I have a 92 CC DS 36v Resitor Cart with Vglide and had to replace the F&R switch. I got a nice used one from a local dealer and got home to find that mine had 3 main terminal lugs and one micro switch, and the one from the dealer had two main lugs and 3 micro switches. Obviously from a different cart, but can I make it work?
I am going to be converting the cart to solid state 48v here shortly, but wanted to get it working for now with the existing setup. Any ideas. Here is a picture of the one I have. The new one only has two lugs. Thanks, Robert |

It sounds like you got the 48v switch ...... go back and get the 36v switch. it is better, even when you go to 48v you want the 36v switch cuz it handles the amperage better ........

Re: Replacing the F&R on 92 CC DS 36v Resistor Cart...Questions?
If I am remember correctly on that old a cart the replacement unit has additional lug ( 2 lugs side by side ) that would be on bottom right side and that one was for half speed reverse? And if I am correct just connect the two lugs together with a 6 gauge wire and connect existing wire to one lug, or I use a piece of 3/8"-1/2" copper tubing hammered flat and drilled to act as better jumper? I like the 36 volt unit like Scottyb says but you will need the extra 2 micro's later when you convert to 48 volts so the option is yours?

So, can I use the one with the two lugs with my current 36v setup?
