Default 2000 Club Car DS 48v series.

Hey guys need help. I've got a 2000 club car ds, I went out to move it earlier and the battery light came on. When I went to test the batteries I got sparks. To test the whole system with the volt meter I put one end on the positive where it comes in and other end on the last battery going out right? When I did I got sparks. So I'm trying to figure out why. When i hit the pedal it wouldn't click or move. I'm lost on what it could be for sure. I think solenoid but its new and been working fine. I also wondered if it could be the diode on the solenoid.

Well I haven't checked if the wires are right but why could I have drove it a couple days ago, parked it, charged it and today it won't move. Then when I check it with volt meter it sparks. What would it do if solenoid or diode was bad?
It would click for one but would it let juice through? Don't know why i'm getting spark when testing voltage of the whole pack. Tested it several times before and had no problems.

if it tested ok before humm

if the diode or main contact was bad you should still be able to check the voltage of the pack

If it is sparking when you try to test with your DMM, you have one or both of the leads plugged into the wrong spot or its on the wrong setting.

Yep I did that checking house current. Saw stars for an hour. Had the meter set on ohms.
