HP rating of stock elec Motor
Title kinda says it all ... My son is a Master electrician that suddenly took interest in my cart. He is going to rewire the whole thing and asked about the stock Motor HP. He is thinking around 2 hp and stated that it is a standard electric motor that he thinks he can swap out. But doesnt want to go too big!!
I know he already said I have to put more battery banks in but he is way smarter than I am!! |

Re: HP rating of stock elec Motor
Depends on the cart, and NO you can put in a standard electric motor. It's a series wound motor. Some are SEPEX
Some are 2, some 3.1 just depends on the motor. It should say on the tag. |

yah the tag is missing on my mine, but he saysmy 85 is running a series wound and that is all I actually understood. then he started talking about gears, and I was really lost at that point.
