Default Charge wire through computer

Just wondering what this wire does? When i upgraded to 2 gauge cables i cut the 6 gauge wire off. There hasnt been a cable through there in months. I do understand it helps in the charge process but when running what does this assist in? I am getting the batteries to 52.0 to 51.8 on a full charge also this is after they have come off the charger for an Hr or so.

My cart is a CC2004 IQ w/ 600 amp alltrax, 2 gauge wires, 400 HD solenoid, PlumQuick Executioner motor.

The OBC reads pack voltage with that cable so it knows when to shut the charger off?

Most just leave the small cable running thru the obc and ADD the new cable bypassing the obc ....

ok, now does it do anything else when the cart is in motion? My low battery light comes on even on a full charge and the batteries are like 3 months old.-- this is under WOT. Would the wire trough the computer have something to do w/ this.

I Have seen my packs up to 58-59 volts while on "charge", Is this normal. Still only 48 volt system.

Sry for so many questions.

Kevin, the questions may save you alot of $. Here is the deal.
The OBC is the brain for the charger. Without that cable the charger can not properly regulate how much amperage and for how long to put into your batteries..... This has everything to do with any battery issue you have, you must put a cable thru the hole as it was originally. If your new cable is too big to fit thru the hole do not drill it out run a second 6g cable thru the obc.

It will install in parallel with your main NEGATIVE cable from the pack to (wherever that goes) The Controller B- is my guess.

How have you been determining how much to charge the cart without it?

OK thanks im installing one tonight. I have been watching the cart pretty carefully with a volt meter when charging. Thats when i have seen 59 volts reading between all the packs, ON CHARGE. I have made sure the packs haven't gotten below 75 percent since they are so new when riding around, then just put back on charge. I just looked where i cut the cable, it does go to b- to the last Negative terminal on the packs.

thanks,

kevin

The charger auto cut off can be anywhere between 58 and 63v so let her run and finish
