Default Jerks violently on take off

I have a 1987 club car 36 volts with coils. It jerks severly on take off but smooths out on top speed. Can you offer any advice on this problem.

Welcome to BGW!
You have a 5 solenoid cart. 1 master solenoid and 4 speeds.... one or more of the low speed solenoids have failed so you are starting out in high gear. Violently.
