Default '95 club car still won't work??

While cleaning the battery post, I accidentally reconnected negative to positive and instantly something popped.. I was told by the mechanic the controller was shot. I replaced the curtis controller with an altrax. Wires matched up to the same as the curtis. Still won't work. I went through the procedure to reset the OBC and still...nothing. Anyone with any suggestions??

Check the F&R micro switch.... they pop easy. I suspect the solenoid is not clicking when you try to go?

When I press the pedal something does click. Does that mean the solenoid is probably OK?

99% chance of yes, don't throw the old controller away just yet either....... When you hooked up the batteries wrong did something pop? .... right away or did you try to drive it? HAve you checked all the fuses? Big glass fuse behind the charge receptacle and 2 yellow in-line fuse holders with 3/8th amp Club Car fuses.

Something on the left side of the front of the batteries popped. I thought maybe a fuse. Mechanic told us controller. I did check the couple of fuses in that area, they were ok. Just a little stumped now that I put a new controller and reset OBC.
I'm new to this site and really appreciate your help. I will still try the f&r switch later today when I get done work. Thanks again.

Check the glass fuse for continuity. I don't think you could hear the 3/8th amp fuse burn.... Let us know what you find
