Default Runs Slow After Controller Replacment

I have a 1991 36V Club Car, I had a cracked frame and I had it welded and the battery's were not disconnected and burned out ( Blew up ) the controller, After replacing the controller the cart runs slow, I have replaced the brushes the V Glide the solenoid and checked all the wiring, I removed and cleaned the contacts on the forward / reverse switch. Any Ideas ????

"Blew up the controller" please confirm that you have a solid state controller as 1991 36 volt Club Car didnt come with controllers?? There are conversions from large coil resistors with large cables to V glide unit ( TO ) V glide with small electronic resitors on back connected to a solid state controller with small gauge wires. If you have the small resitors on back of V glide unit some of them could have blown ALSO making for slow speed?

Yes it is a 91 serial # A9143 and has a solid state controller, the wiring looks to be factory but I do not know for sure, I checked the the resitors after the controller blew up and all tested good.

Have you checked condition of batterys? Could be one or more are plate damaged from welding voltage? Look at distilled water for color ( I have seen them muddy brown in colored ) when bad? Do digital volt meter test on each battery and then pack voltage. Fully charged each battery should be 6.37 volts, and pack should be 38.2 volts? If readings show good try using a single float temperature correcting hydrometer on each cell of each battery fully charged should read 1.277 at 80 degree F. All should be within few points of each other to be good.
Another check after running motor for awhile is check each 6 gauge cable and cable ends, F&R control for high temperatures. Could be high resistance connections or cables from high amp flow during welding? Also check and make sure V glide has full travel ( take driver side cover off V glide and check for travel through whole range )?

I have completed all of the suggested checks, battery's less than a year old and all test good, I have run the cart and found no excessive heat in any of the cables or the motor,
I have replaced the V Glide and it has full travel, I have not rechecked the restors in the V Glide but I will as soon as I get a chance.
