Lift Kits
I was wondering the proper way to lift a cart. Can anyone tell me. Do you need leaf springs (front and Back)? Do you need to do anything to the steering? Who makes the best lift kits for the money? (There are alot of them out there.) newbie just getting started on my first Cart. 1993 Club Car electric 36 volt.

Re: Lift Kits
I'm pretty new as well but I believe that the 2 most popular choices are Jakes and AArm lift kits. You can get 3' or 6' lift kits or even long travel which look sweet. If you are going off road then you should probably go with the long travel kits. If you want to get 12' wheels with 22' or 23' tires, then you need at least a 6' lift for clearance. I would recommend going with heavy duty springs especially if getting rear seats. A lot of members here that I learn from on a daily basis who will steer you in the right direction. Good luck!

Re: Lift Kits
All sports ans Jakes seem to be the most popular. Price wise a spindle kit is less expensive as a A-Arm kit and a long travel kit being more expensive then both. I just installed a 6" Allsports A Arm lift kit on my 2004 Precedent. The A arm kit takes a little more work a spindle lift but, I got the front done in about 1.5 hours and the rear kit in about a hour (installed HD springs) I am very happy with it. Dont have any pics right now.

Re: Lift Kits
I have a 6 inch spindle lift on a 36 volt cart. You don't have to do anything to the steering linkage at all just have to realign the wheels when done. sorry no pics

Re: Lift Kits
Keep in mind that the factory lift kit (Part number AM10755) will allow you to run a 22X11X10" tire and retain 100% of the factory suspension. It makes it so much easier to identify and locate replacement parts if anything ever gets damaged.

Re: Lift Kits
Ive got to disagree with you buddy. Spindles stronger on Jakes. Personally I think Jakes is nicer looking and stronger. Just my opinion. Have them on my cart and cant be happier.
