Dave,
you can also look into Energizer cart batteries. I have been told they are carried at Sam's Club in 6 and 8 volt options. I know they are cheaper and high quality. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think I have seen ONE of Gorno's carts with anything other than Energizer. Also look into Interstate batts. Very good.

Thats a group 31 as used in the GEM and Ford Think, not the same as a Trojan T 1275 or US equivalent.

Crown shows three 12v batteries that are in the golf cart catagory.
24DC36--27DC36 & 31DC36 It would appear any of these would work with the 31 being highest rated. the 27 specs don't look that bad and it would be less expensive than the 31. It looks as though the point is made that Crown does make golf cart batteries.

The Group 31 being the biggest at 130ah I wonder how that stacks up?

Scottyb--Crown spec sheet shows 31DC36 140ah 27DC36 @ 115ah and 24DC36 @ 85ah.

I have no idea as to pricing, they are not a very popular brand here in the Northwest. Most use I have found locally is for commercial/industrial so Service & Warranty might be a problem.

The group 31 is not a direct replacement for the trojan T1275. So the question becomes, Does Crown make a direct replacement for the T1275? The answer is no, they do not. Now, if you want to put in a non direct replacment, then you could just go to sears and buy 4 tractor batteries, as those will work, or go to Interstate and buy 4 marine deep cycle batteries, as those will work too. My thought is to always do it right, but I guess that is not always the case with everyone.

No Fixer, the question first asked by Carguy was-- "Anybody know where I can get a good price on Crown batteries (4 12 volt) in or around the Phoenix area?"

You then posted a reply--"Crown doesn't make a 12 volt for a Club Car, just
6's and 8's."

I think some of us have made a case that Crown does make 12 volt batteries that are used in golf carts. No one has said it is a replacement for the Trojan 1275, "direct" or otherwise. Some have, however, shown that your initial response to Carguy's question may have needed more research or more clarification if you were talking about the T1275 being the only acceptable 12 volt replacement for a Club Car.

If this is your position there are many, with plenty of experience in the business, that will disagree with you. Have a good day
