With a voltmeter check voltage between the 2 small terminals on the @#**^& solenoid with the key off it should be zero... with the key on it should be pack voltage 36-38v

No voltmeter? Remove one of the small wires. If they are energized the coil will drop out(click) off. Could be a key problem?

Big lug to big lug on solenoid, 0 volts. little lug to little lug 0 volts. big lug to little lug either way 0.3 volts. If I remember right the other night I plugged in and turned on the battery charger before I realized the key was still on and the cart in forward. Could this have fried the solenoid?

Are you saying that leaving the solenoid energized constantly will not shorten it's life?

As a matter of fact you should check the micro switch in the v-glide to see if it is burnt.

I have never seen a problem with it, people do it all the time. Its not going to work unless you put the peddle down. Now I am no expert I will say that,But I am still trying to figure out the dumb stuff.LOL.

Be careful with that... on a resistor cart it can start a fire.

Sounds like some difference of opinions here. How do I check the micro switch. It looked and sounded ok. About the fire....I believe that. that f&r switch sure put out a big blue flame when I turned it. So, second solenoid in two days. I am begining to think I fried it with the charger. New one on in the morning and maybe a big hammer that comes out of the dash if I leave the switch on!
