Thumbs up Pulsating Like a square wave

Newbie Here With a intermittent problem
I have a 1996 cc ds 48vdc that does not like to go over 4 to 5 mph with out pulsating. I had this when I have low batteries and tried to go fast or up hills, not the case this time all measure 8.1 to 8.3 vdc, I had this when the Green wire to the motor was breaking badly, fixed that, then I saw the white wire to the motor getting chard and i fixed that. I have 48+ volts across the batteries and all the connections are clean and tight. this is the third time in the last year this has happened as explained above except this time fixing the white wire did not resolve the problem.
Any Ideas and Thanks in advance for this forum and all the great info.
Hank

I would do a hydrometer ( available at any auto parts store with a single float with temperature correcting scale NOT A MULTI FLOAT ANTIFREEZE Hydrometer ) test of all cells as it sounds like a weak cell and compare to STICKIES "State Of Charge Readings" Look closely at 2 batterys under drivers seat as CC seems to have them go bad first for some reason? If in doubt find some one ( that know what they are doing ) with a load tester to confirm batterys condition.

Hank, Welcome to BGW!

1996 cart with cables and wires that have been "fixed"? If you are just clipping the ends and recrimping, perhaps you should consider cable replacement? The best pack in the world is useless without a solid delivery system.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I have one battery acting up wit a dead cell apparently. It read just over 6 volts when it should have been 8.
I noticed it was low on water 3 days ago and now it was slightly down again.
Can this cause the pulsating ? if so how? inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks Guys

One dead cell in a series connected pack is like squeezing a garden hose. Slows the flow of current to a trickle. Get a digital multimeter attached to the pack and try to drive the cart. Check and report the voltage drop as you operate the go pedal.
