Default 1999 Club Car will not move.

My cart died on me after being towed for about a 1/4 mile. It was not put in tow mode until after 3 minutes of towing.

Here is was it will do:
Charger will kick on and charge it completely.
With key turned on and tow/run in run position, no reverse buzzer and no movement forward or reverse.
With key turned on and tow/run in tow postion, reverse buzzer sounds for about 5 seconds and then fades out.
I can here the newly replaced solenoid click in both tow and run postion.

The only thing I have done so far is make sure all batteries are full and hold a charge. I replaced the solenoid that connects to the + battery terminal. I have the other solenoid on the way. BTW, the cart did run for about 30 minutes the day after it was towed but will not move now.

Any ideas? Did I fry my controller/motor?

You fried the controller by not placing it in the tow switch mode.I have seen it happen before.

Do you have any recommendation on a new controller? I do not need any programmable, OEM or something with a little more torque will work. The cart is lifted with oversized tires.

I also have a regen 2 1999 cart. Also, bad controller. I just bought a GE solid state 300 amp. The cart is all stock. I will be installing it this week. I know they make a bigger one for regens. My buddy has used curtiss and alltrax with plenty of success. I asked him about ge controllers and he never used one so, I am no help YET. I'm mainly writing to tell you I feel your pain. I am on controller #3 for this cart. TOW/RUN sucks in the heat of the moment. I always forget. Good luck. From what I hear Alltrax are a safe bet. Hang in there.
