Default replaced wiper on v glide & now it won't move

bought a used 99 48 volt cart & it acted strange when you pushed the go pedal. Pulled the v glide & found the wiper wire was all but broken in 2. also noticed a wire on the resistor side was missing the nut so i installed one. got it back together & now it won't move. i can hear the micro switch when i push on the go pedal with the key off & a solenoid when the key is on. but it won't move forward or reverse????? Thanks, gts

I would check your solenoid for internal contact if it clicks each time key is on, F&R in gear and pedal is pushed down. Just because it clicks doesn't mean its making contact inside.
For safety sake jack up rear of cart and support on jack stands under axle near springs on good solid flat surface and then block front wheels so cart cannot move. Put a jumper cable across both large posts on solenoid and turn key on, put F&R in forward, and see if motor runs ( WARNING IF MOTOR TURNS DO NOT ALLOW IT TO RUN OVER A FEW SECONDS AS IT WILL RUIN MOTOR AND ENDANGER YOU FROM FLYING PIECES )
If it runs you know you need to replace the solenoid and also the Doide unit, Resistor unit. NOTE be sure diode is installed correctly with band toward "plus or power" side of small posts on solenoid.

Thanks! Remember that loose wire I put the nut on? That was the wire that goes to my wiper. I put it on the wiper stud & all is well! Sometimes I get in a hurry & do stupid things especially when I took it apart a week before

We all make mistakes and it gets worse the older we get? Glad it was a simple fix.
