Default very aggressive tires for my electric carts?

Is there a down side to getting very aggressive tires for my electric carts? We use the 81 CC & G1 Yamaha to get back to tree stands to hunt and we travel through some pretty bad mud holes sometimes. A store up here has 18x8.5x8 with a tractor type tread on it for $45. I was thinking about getting 2 for just the back of one cart for now. I'm not sure if that tread type would drain the batteries more than another type.

We put a set on my friends hunting buggy, 90 cc elec. Put the farm lugs on the rear last fall, he had trouble turning in snow and mud the rears would push the front tires sideways,he bought a set for the front and that solved the problem. He did mention it seemed to take the batteries down quicker.

Aggressive tires all around will help with handling and traction. These are 18X8.5X8 Turf-Trax 4ply tires. They are great in mud, snow, dirt, and even grass. They do have more drag than a standard golf cart tire since they dig in more. I would assume they would drain the batteries a little more, but am not sure how much. Anything with more bite will get ya through the mud! They also make a stock height cart look bad@$$
