Re: No Forward Reverse ok
Need more info on cart before forum can be able to not waste yours and forums time making guesses.
Make=Club Car Full Serial Number ( under passenger glove box on frame )=? Model= Series ( F&R lever under right leg ) Shunt ( Rocker switch under right leg )? Pack Voltage= 36 or 48? This is because controls are different with model and years. |

Re: No Forward Reverse ok
Thanks for reply, the serial number is A9808-648894. The control is a lever type F-N-R and the cart is 48volts. All cables are new and batterys are 30days old. The problem is intermitent.

Re: No Forward Reverse ok
I think you have three microswitches on the F&R. One clicks in Forward and 2 in Reverse. One reverse is for the buzzer. Check the other one.... a good micro will give a crisp little click sound... they get weak then intermittent then stop working... as you describe. The fact it runs in one direction and not the other means the drive system is good just the reverse activation... I guess there is no solenoid click when it won't go also?

Re: No Forward Reverse ok
Scottyb is right on target as usual with his diagnosis, but I want to add something as well... If you check your microswitches and they all turn out to be good, take the three screws off of the F&R Switch and remove it from the body. Inspect the contacts really good and you may just find that one of them is melted due to excessive heat. It's pretty common with series cars like yours.
