Re: IQ MD tool won't power up?
If everything is dead then naturally the IQDM won't boot up... It's powered by the controller. If the controller's dead, nothing works.

Yes it's compatible. Does the reverse buzzer work? it's possible that the controller is booting up, but you have a dirty IQDM port.

Re: IQ MD tool won't power up?
Ok... that's a sure sign that the system isn't active... Here's a few things to try... If any of the following tests fail, the system won't "Wake Up"
Check the tow/run switch for continuity. You should have continuity when in the RUN position and Nothing in TOW Check the MCOR for continuity. Does it click? Very carefully insert the two probes of the meter into the hole where the 2-prong connector plugs in. You should have continuity between the two prongs inside the MCOR when the pedal is depressed. This may require the assistance of someone else. Check the OBC. Make sure the 6-Pin connector is fully engaged and that none of the pins have slipped out. |

Re: IQ MD tool won't power up?
At this point I would go to your local dealer and get them to run a copy of a wiring schematic for your vehicle. Then I'd trace out every single one of them until I found the problem. I'm starting to think there's a short somewhere. Unless of course one of the components you installed is bad. (Yes I know they're new)

Re: IQ MD tool won't power up?
Actually try one more thing........ Take the F&R toggle switch out... Un-plug the middle wire, and run a jumper wire from the Main positive battery post to the middle of the F&R.... The wire you unplug should be orange in color. If this works, Take the 3 pin-connector apart and I guarantee you'll find a short.
