Re: PQ Motor
Do you know if this motor is working properly? How much are you getting it for? Might want to consider sending pq your core motor instead and having them rebuilt it directly for just $225.

Re: PQ Motor
if you have a core to send to PQ, I would go that route instead. The difference in pay would only be $50 + S/H. You don't know if that motor has been misused, worn out bearings, etc. He says its to fast? I doubt he didnt know what he was getting into before he purchased it. Sketchy. Ask for paper work to confirm that it wasn't June of 06. I would go directly with PQ. Also don't think warranty is transferable. Just looking out for you bro...

Re: PQ Motor
$50 + shipping x2 = $100. $100 off and a he can keep his motor as a backup with zero down time sounds like a deal to me.
just hope you don't get mugged/raped when the deal goes down. -sj |

Re: PQ Motor
Yeah, but we dont know if the motor is good and no warranty. Shipping is $25 each way. Again, ask for invoice, test motor, etc, just to make sure. Don't want you to have to send to PQ to redo if motor is not up to par. Cause then $175 + $225 + $50.

Re: PQ Motor
You bet I am still thinking about the options. I was wanting to keep my old motor so it would rase the price to 325 plus shipping. Thanks for the good questions to ask.

Re: PQ Motor
One other thing to consider... motors can get messed up during shipping... will this guy guarantee that if that happens he'll give you a refund? I know PQ would make sure you got a good working motor...
Shipping alone if the actual weigh is shown will be $50... and the carton it comes in should be a special carton to make sure the armature is protected as well as the speed sensor on the back end of the motor. |
