Default Club car rear end????

How can I tell which axle Ihave in my electric CC. Its an 85. I'm hoping to get some high speed gears for it, but don't know which one I have.

Now sure what rear end that is but I wouldn't recommend high speed gears without having a high speed motor and controller. High speed gears are not good unless you have the power to push them. If your motor is stock, you will not have the torque it takes to get the speed you want and may cause your controller to overheat.

One had a square flange and one had a round flange? Like that?

I'm thinking its a Terrel or Graziano. I believe that CC changed to Graziano in 1985. Not 100% on that.

in dc motors, torque is inversely proportional to speed. so basically, high speed motor + high speed gears = very little torque. a low speed motor with high speed gears (or vice versa) would make more practical use of available power.

This is for my drag cart (bigger motor, more voltage, bigger controller)

I'll try and get some pics of the axle tonight...

Looking from behind cart at axle, the Terrell axles main case bolted from left side of case, while Graziano bolted from right side od case ( If I rememeber correctly )

It's definitely not a Graziano. If anything, it's a Terrell or a Kawasaki. The Graziano didn't come out until the mid 90s. Pics would be wonderful
